Our Founders & Trustees

Voice For The Needy, Inc. was founded in 2012 by people who want to change the life of stray animals for the better. We have a staff of 4 people in United States and 2 collaborators in Romania. These people work tirelessly to put an end to animal abuse and neglect. They volunteer their time and resources to help animals in need.

Daniela Glint

Daniela Glint

President

Since she was a child Daniela loved animals and saw them as friends. When she was a teenager she heard about a kid in her neighborhood who was torturing little kittens and threw a two months old kitten from the 5th floor. This memory stuck with her and it was a factor in her decision to do something about the unfortunate situation of Romanian stray animals.

Sadly this incident was not an isolated event. Many of her other friends told her about kids and parents who were borderline cruel to stray cats and dogs.

She never got to talk to that kid nor protect that particular helpless kitten, but she vowed that one day she will do something to prevent things like that from happening again. That's how she decided to found a charity that not only offers shelter to unwanted animals, but also educates people and makes them better and move loving toward animals.

Bonnie Schuenke

Bonnie Schuenke

Adoption and foster coordinator

Bonnie has had pets all of her life, dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and a variety of small critters, too numerous to count. One of the most vivid memories from when she was young is finding hurt and sick animals in need and nursing them back to health. Being a nurturing person, when it came time to pick a career, naturally she chose nursing school.

As time went by, she never lost her love for animals or any creature for that matter. She is the kind of human who puts bugs and spiders gently out the house instead of squishing them, moves worms and snails into the grass so they don’t get stepped on or run over, and occasionally she helped a frog or two out the window well after it had fallen in.

Bonnie has now dogs from 4 different countries and volunteered her home to do international and local fostering for many dogs and cats in need. The latest addition to her canine children is Alice, a senior dog adopted from Romania.

Bonnie took a special interest in Romanian homeless dogs and is working hard to find homes for them where they can be loved and cared for properly. Bonnie truly is a voice for the needy and we are grateful to have her onboard.
